who let the bitches out
let me share a story with y'all. a story that kept me grinning while i was alone in the train just now. making me appear slightly, just slightly, demented to the other normal passengers.
once upon a time in crescent i was a hockey player. one day while waiting for training to begin in school, 4 others (sid, nonie, nurah & suhaila) and i decided to take a walk at the nearby estate consisting of very posh and very lavish houses. so off we goons went, strolling along. laughing wildly, cracking jokes, having leisure fun..
then we came upon an open gate. and then we saw them. 2 (or 3? can't remember) ferocious looking, growling dogs. looking ferocious and growling at US. we suddenly stood deathly still, rooted to the ground. and then just as sudden the dogs came at us and we took off running for our dear 16 year old lives. we ran and screamed and ran and yelled... the tough hockey training paid off after all. we ran blindly. until we reached.....
THE BACKYARD GARDEN OF QUEENSTOWN REMAND PRISON. where cabbages and all kinds of vegetation grew.
when i look back now i can't help thinking how lucky were no one was around to pounce on us since it was a restricted area. i think the gate to the garden was unlocked, we weren't thinking straight amidst our fear so we just went straight in. only god knows how fucken scared we were at that time. i was already thinking of my last words to my family before being carted off to the actual prison inside.
i vaguely remember us walking along the edge of the backyard until we found another gate to lead us out. i can't remember what happened after that but i think the dogs were still around. in the end we sought help from a maid who happened to be hanging outside the house and she helped to shoo away the damn bitches. (female, must be). we promised to send her a thank-you note then. til now we never did. we never got around to sending it.
god, looking back now it seemed so terribly funny. the sheer panic and fear as we ran.. but it's one of those memories that helps me remember how much fun, and fear, we went thru as teenagers. it also reminds me of how fit we were last time hurhur. ahh nothing like memories to get me giggling like a 16 year old all over again.
i got a new haircut! i think i look like anna sui now. ok maybe just the haircut that looks like anna sui's. but loves it still.
