hi my name is
have you ever cringed at mentioning your own name? i cringe and i dont know why. it's so weird hearing my name coming out of my mouth. it feels.. funny. doesnt matter if it's eli or suhaily. it's equally strange. and that's why i hate introducing myself to strangers sometimes. i say my name in a squeaky, barely audible voice. ok not squeaky. but shaky and unstable.
i'm not one of those people who love hearing myself talk and love hearing my own voice. and i hate singing to people. let's say i'm in a conversation with someone named.. johnny. hee. ok so..
johnny: hey have you heard that new song by the goo goo dolls?
elii: yeah i did. niiiice.
johnny: i forgot how it goes. how does it go?
elii: ahhmm.. mm.. i cant remember.
i'd rather lie and say i dont know or cant remember than actually singing it. seriously i cant bring myself to even hum a tune when someone asks me to. ganjil kan? sebab i think macam tak confident la. i dont wanna spoil any song. but i think it's getting better now. altho i'm not sure.
i cannot sing when people asks me to but a lot of times i suddenly break out in a song voluntarily. like with awin or jila sometimes we suddenly go 'SINARAN! mentari menyinari..." or with timothy i go 'honey.. it's been a long time coming..." that's embrace by gravity anyways. eh or is it gravity by embrace? yeah the latter. altho... sometimes i think i have an okay voice. ohshutup.
yesterday i brought amirul jalan2 at the esplanade, watching the boats at the waterfront. it was hot, man. and then we went to esplanade library. that place was daaaamn cold (we complain a bit too much ah, you think?). his parents picked him up then i headed to awin's office first before we left for dinner at tong seng.
so i missed csi yesterday. no worries cos that was season 3 pffft. tonight's the real thing cos IT'S THE BLOODY 100TH EPISODE LA SEYYYYY!! but be informed that it will be shown at 10 pm instead of 9, cos amazing race will last for 2 hours. so be warned. cheh elii's blog like public service.
