as the world turned its attention to the football pitches in germany, six girls were wreaking havoc in a seedy-looking ktv lounge halfway round the world. germany says "ACHTUNG!" and the world will begin paying attention now..
what do peterpan, mayang sari, jamal abdillah, britney spears, abba and barry manilow have in common? they are artistes whose songs we murdered last night. singing (or was it howling?), rapping (angguk angguk geleng geleng... sabar sabar sabar SABAR!), dancing, laughing at the cheesy video clips (some bordering on soft porn, some throwing up horrendous makeup and even more horrendous hair) and lusting after ariel (sedap!). hurhur. my scratchy throat is proof that i had a rollicking good time. fab way to usher in my 23rd. thank you my lovelies.

so it has begun. men all over the world will be oblivious to everything but germany 2006. i will not be so frenzied but i won't be so ignorant about the incoming hoopla either.
