crescent in the news! read all about it!
nice anot my new layout. nice right. i know.
yesterday morning i woke up, read the papers and found that crescent was in the news for 2 different reasons. the first article that mentioned my beloved alma mater was of this up and coming local actress starring in the new eric khoo movie. her name's samantha toh and was formerly from crescent. i was thinking no wonder she looks so familiar. her disposition seems so sickly sweet. saccharine even.
so off i went in search of her in my yearbook and it turns out that she was a year my junior. if the girl i found in the yearbook was indeed her.
and then i read the new paper and shockingly read that the crescent hockey team was somehow embroiled in a match fixing scandal altho they were the innocent party. turned out that the coaches of yuhua sec and st theresa's convent told his charges not to score any goal as a draw would suffice for them to go thru to the next round. if one team won, that team and crescent would go thru. if it's a draw both yuhua and stc go thru at the expense of crescent. KESIAN KAN CRESCENT? i feel so strongly because for those not in the know, i was a part of the crescent hockey team. dulu eli seorang olahragawati. hurhur.
so i was shocked to read that, yeah.

so our former president wee kim wee passed away. i didnt know till i heard on the radio. he was the one president i felt was really very genuine. very genial and very warm and truly a people-person. he didnt seem the sort who would shakes hands with the public just because it would make a good impression. he was truly a good person.
singapore has lost a gem.
