condo / play / hurt
as you might have read from my sister's blog we went over to my brother's new house on sunday. and as you might have read also kita adik-beradik la orang yang paling excited skali. for hdb dwellers like us who are only surrounded by wet markets and econ minimarts and the likes of them, the idea of living somewhere where the pool and gym and sauna and jacuzzi are of easy access is pretty cool. no no, uber cool. the swimming pool so lawa ok. so bluuuuee. and the jacuzzi, wahlau the jacuzzi, damn shiok lorrr. there are 2 and one faces the contruction workers' lodgings. woohoo what a feast those guys will have. needless to say that jacuzzi will not be occupied by us. THIS is a playground. this is not. this is just pieces of plastic on a scrap rubber mat. so what do you know, valentines day is upon us again bringing with it overpriced flowers and cheap colognes for the attached, and doom and gloom for the singles. no, i'd like to take that back. it's not all downcast on this tuesday afternoon. i'll be watching walk the line with my fellow singles later on. brokeback mountain was shelved because the guys (actually jaswant) deemed it too uncomfortable to be watching some guy on guy action. so johnny cash it is. cheh cakap macam kita yang tinggal kat condo tu hor! my sister already planned, while the adults are having a barbeque, the kids can swim nearby. if my brother needs housewarming party planners kita la orangnya. don't shy don't shy. i let you see the pictures stolen from my sister's blog.....
nice? the area is so serene, so peaceful. bliss, i feel.
as you might have noticed, my friends (*glares), my sister and i have refrained from stating the actual address and name of that condo. just because we love our brother and we do not want him unnecessaily stalked. as i've mentioned that area is serene and peaceful and thus shouldn't be disturbed by crazy women on the loose.
but i'll give you a few clues la eh. hmmm.. ok the balcony faces a highway. and... ermm it has 4 blocks. oh, and the playground is pathetic. that is the only bad thing i found. for starters it's slightly bigger than a freakin store room. it consists of 2 rockin horses, one very short slide, one very short act-macam-rock-climbing-wall-tapi-tak-jadik and a rubber swing. so disappointing. the state of playgrounds in singapore is sadly pathetic i tell you. it's so hard to find good, adventurous playgrounds nowadays.
