saturday, sunsets & sand

i think i am in danger of being addicted to sentosa. the scorching heat of the sun, the salty smells of the sea and the sunset......... sigh. yesterday was bliss indeed.
but first, what went down on saturday. well after leaving awin's office we met up with jila in town. had dinner at cahaya and then our chillout session at LT starbucks.
later on pal, timo, nifal and his bro, reza came and joined us. awin and jila went off first, leaving me with them.
while sitting around there, we saw some guy celebrating his birthday. and it's a guy that i know from school. funny looks were exchanged between us. he sent me a message in friendster weeks ago, asking me to call him some time. his number was stored in my phone. but i never got around to actually do something with it till later at home that night when i wished him 'happy birthday'. but he didnt reply. how dare he. of course i didnt actually say who i really was. that birthday message was shrouded under anonymity. he probably thought it was some prank. or maybe he changed his number. ah hell.
plans were made to go sentosa the following vesak day. i wasnt too keen at first, right up till i went to bed. i actually dreamt that i woke up to find that it was raining with thunders and all and sentosa was called off. but i really did wake up and the sun was shining oh-so-happily. so i had no excuses. it was a gorgeous day.
so off we went. me, awin, timo, nifal, reza, shereen, sandra and her boyfriend, max. hanwei was already there with his friends and sam, reza's friend, came later. we settled at sunset beach and hours of suntanning, volleyball and soccer ensued. not forgetting impromptu wrestling sessions in the water and chillout singalong outbursts at sunset bar! the music was fab, i tell you. fab fab fab. we hung around till 8ish. i saw the sunset and i was astounded by the sight. it was pure unadulterated beauty. i was reminded of the 'i can sing a rainbow song' but i'm telling you the sunset and the full moon in the dark canopy afterwards beat the rainbow anytime. what a romantic setting. unfortunately spent with the wrong people, hurhurhur.
