okay we might be in deep shit. just now a so-called hdb-licenced contractor checked our 2 bathroom ceilings and decided that we needed to re-plaster and all that stuff. i was really uncomfortable with the guy's presence although he was decently dressed. only mother and me were in the house and she said okay to them coming tomorrow at 10 am. then father came home just as he was asking about the deposit so 100 bucks were paid.
now i'm feeling uneasy because i checked the hdb website and i dont see their company name under hdb's listed contractors. how ah? mother said to cancel but deposit already paid liao. the house above ours is also undergoing some renovation and already the contractors' hanging around our corridor makes me nervous. especially when i was alone in the house 2 days ago.
i hate it when strangers are in the house doing renovation shit. so damn annoying and such a nuisance. i'm not free to do anything. plus you dont know where these contractors came from, what backgrounds they have. ex-convicts or not.
urgh that means i have to wake up and shower extra early tomorrow. either that or wait till they're done 3 hours later.
i hope and hope that we'll cancel the thing and that father will forget about the $100..... unlikely but i'm still hoping.
